Service explained

The .RU trustee arrangement, without blurred ownership claims

Once a change application is accepted, the verified trustee is the .RU administrator on the register. Not you. What your company, or you personally, may do with the domain from that point runs through the agreement you signed, and nowhere else. The distinction is plain enough. It is worth being certain about it before money changes hands or a signature goes on paper.

The practical start

If Atak Domain already manages the domain, the first year is $69.98. Add a registrar transfer and it becomes $109.97. From year two the standard annual trustee service is $99.

Who is the administrator in the registry?

The verified trustee company, once an administrator-change application has been accepted and completed. The registrar records it. For the Nic.ru account route named on this page, Atak Domain identifies ООО «ЭНДЖООЙ» under 5766898/NIC-D. Panel access does not change that. Neither does a service agreement — a customer can hold both and still not be the party written into the record. When processing finishes, read the resulting record yourself instead of assuming what it says.

Which rights do I keep?

Whatever the signed agreement gives you, and nothing beyond it. Your use of the domain and your ability to instruct the trustee both sit in that document. So settle four points before ordering: who approves DNS changes, who pays for renewals, how registrar notices reach you, and what the trustee may do without hearing from you first. A broad promise of “ownership” is worth very little while the registry names another party.

What if the trustee relationship ends?

The agreement should already answer that: notice, outstanding fees, who funds the renewal in the meantime, and the cooperation required to put an administrator change through. Ending the commercial service does not rewrite the registry record on its own. Ask for the exit procedure in writing, and plan it well before the domain expires rather than against the clock. One condition applies at the far end too. The next administrator has to be eligible under the applicable rules.

Who changes the DNS?

Nameserver instructions run through the recorded administrator and its registrar account. Your agreement therefore has to name the authorised customer contacts, say how a request is verified, set out which DNS changes are included, and state how completion is confirmed. The trustee can carry out agreed changes. Unrestricted self-service control on every account is not something this site can promise.

How do I put the domain back in my name?

Through a formal administrator change to an eligible person or company. Editing a panel profile does nothing to the registry. Expect the registrar to ask for a new Russian-language application, evidence of authority and verification. And if you cannot qualify for the registrar’s accepted identity route, a direct return to your own name may not be available at that time.

Administrator-change application

The official form is Russian-language, and Atak Domain publishes it. Before anything reaches a notary, confirm three details: which registrar holds the domain, who the applicant is, and which trustee account is meant to receive the record. A notarised document built on the wrong account has to be produced again.

Who appears in the record

For the designated Nic.ru account route, these are the values that end up in the registrar’s record.

Trustee administrator
ООО «ЭНДЖООЙ»
Tax number
7725359135
Registrar account
5766898/NIC-D

Confirm the receiving account for your own domain before the Russian-language application is completed. Other partner routes may use different account arrangements, so values from one case do not transfer to the next.

What you should agree in writing

Four items belong in the contract, in plain words:

  • the customer’s authorised DNS and renewal instructions;
  • who receives registrar notices;
  • the yearly service charge, kept separate from any domain renewal charge;
  • how to change to a different eligible administrator at exit.

The two first-year pathways

A domain Atak Domain already manages carries the $29.99 trustee add-on and the $39.99 administrator change. A domain that has to be transferred in first carries a $39.99 registrar transfer as well. From year two the Atak Domain trustee service is $99 annually, and the domain renewal remains its own charge.

What can stop a change

Processing stalls for ordinary reasons. A registrar hold, or documents that do not match each other. Notarisation left incomplete, verification still open, an expiry date sitting too close for the paperwork to finish in time. The trustee route is subject to acceptance, which is why no renewal or transfer can be promised in advance of it.

Primary-source reading

Those two were checked for the regulatory background. What a registrar will actually process in your case still needs confirming case by case.
