A review route for .RU domain portfolios

A portfolio rarely moves as one unit. Every name carries its own registry record, so the recorded administrator, the registrar, any hold and the renewal date can all differ from the row above. We read the list first. Only then is there anything sensible to say about migrating names or about the scope a trustee arrangement would have to cover.

The practical start

Send a domain list with the current registrar, the administrator identifier, the renewal date, the status and the outcome you want for each row. Do not email passports. Nothing in this first pass needs an identity document, and the sheet below has no column for one.

Download a blank portfolio review sheet

One row per domain. Enter the registrar, the administrator ID, the expiry date and any verification notice that has already reached you. Keep passport scans and other identity documents out of the sheet.

ru-portfolio-review.csv

Nine column headings and nothing else. The file is assembled in your browser when you press the button, so downloading it sends no list of yours anywhere.

This file contains column headings only. It performs no registry lookup and no automatic eligibility assessment.

Portfolio triage template

Nine columns, in this order:

  1. domain
  2. TLD
  3. registrar
  4. administrator ID
  5. expiry
  6. status
  7. verification notice
  8. required action
  9. document owner

Filled the same way every time, this gives a reproducible first pass. It is a filing exercise rather than a lookup, and it promises no automated registry checks.

One column gets skipped more than the others, and it is usually the one that decides the case: administrator ID. The party paying your invoice and the party written into the registry record are often not the same, and that gap tends to surface on the day a renewal is refused.

Commercial review

The proposal keeps four things apart: one-off administrator work, ongoing trustee administration, transfer fees and renewal fees. Eligibility and turnaround vary by domain. A single figure quoted across a whole portfolio reads well in an email and falls apart at the first row that cannot be verified.
